It is with humility that I take over the presidency of this club and follow in the footsteps of some notable presidents, many of whom still attend our meetings regularly.  Since joining in 1994 I have enjoyed many meetings listening to some interesting talks.

But for me, most interest comes from meeting and talking to you, the great variety of individual members from a wide range of backgrounds and occupations and of course it is you, the members, who are the substance of this club.

Long may you, me and the club keep its traditions flourishing.
